Looking Back: It was great to see everyone this past Sunday. What a delight that several were back after some health issues had kept them away. We focused on Hebrews 2:5-8 considering afresh “the founder of our salvation” Jesus Christ! Perhaps you remember we learned that Jesus successfully completed what Adam our first parent failed to do. What was so incredible was the reminder that Jesus succeeded where Adam failed and that everything is under His control. However, in this current age we do not see everything in subjection to Jesus. Despite what we see on the news, the chaos around us, we are encouraged to know that Jesus in control. Allow me to encourage you to live in that reality!
Looking Ahead:
I mentioned last week that this Sunday I must be back in California. Thank you for your prayers. God is good!
I recorded the message for this coming Sunday this past Monday. I trust the message will be a great blessing to each of you. The text is Hebrews 2:9-13. These verses remind us that together with Jesus we are satisfied. Isn’t it wonderful that following Jesus is not a solo sport? Life is lived together with Jesus. Join together this Sunday, and be encouraged in knowing that it is not Jesus out there, and us down here, it is Jesus and us together!
Looking Beyond: March 1 we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper, continue in our series on being satisfied with Jesus, and grow together in goodness and faithfulness.
