Happy Friday Colonial Park Community Baptist Church family! This is week two of our new weekly blog.
I trust your week has gone well. Continue praying for Marilyn and Michael. Marilyn fell yesterday while visiting Michael at the Rehabilitation facility in Camp Hill. Thankfully nothing was broken. She is however in pain.
Pat Hall was able to return home, and her grandson and daughter-in-law are providing support for her. She is still unable to put weight on her right foot and is thus very dependent on her grandson’s assistance.
Cheryl Johnson had a fall last week and is in quite a bit of pain as she recovers. Doug is doing well but will need electric shock to his heart next week to hopefully get proper rhythm. Good news – Eddie was able to arrange for a facility that his father can afford. His dad moves in June 1. Lynda received word that her surgery is now May 28.
There are other needs through our church, so thank you for praying.
As we look forward to Sunday, just a reminder that tomorrow, Saturday at 8 am, we have a morning workday. There are projects for everyone so please join us.
This Sunday is Ascension Sunday. The Ascension of Jesus Christ occurred forty days after the Resurrection and so technically Ascension Day was yesterday. We remember that Christ ascended into heaven and there He remains at the right hand of the Father until He returns to earth.
The message Sunday takes us back to the book of Hebrews. In preparation, please read Hebrews 5:11-6:3. God will be speaking to us on the theme “The Priority of Pressing On.” See you at 9.30 or 10.30!
Next Sunday, May 24, we will celebrate Memorial Day as we give thanks for those who gave their lives for the freedom we enjoy. For the message we will continue in the book of Hebrews reading from chapter 6:4-12.
